These songs are such a large part of my life now, having lived, loved and laughed along with the characters in them. I hope you'll let them be a part of your life too.
I've been compared to Newman/McKuen/Waits/Zandt/Clark/Denver/Dylan/Croce. Which is a mouthful and very nice of people to say so.

Hank-1953, is a tribute song to Hank Williams. If your a fan of Hanks' I think you'll like this song.
Broken Dreams,is a song every songwriter can relate to.
When Hearts Are Broken, is a touching story of those that are left behind to carry on. This is a co-write with Scott Campbell. A brilliant lyricist and musician.
The Gift, is a true story about how I received my first guitar. It has a sad vein to it mixed with a heartfelt remembrance of a special lady.
Home Again, was inspired by my recent trip back home to Houston, Missouri and all the wonderful memories associated with going back home.
The Alabama Rose, is about a virtuous woman and crowns her goodness with the title, The Alabama Rose. My wife, Mary, is the role model for this song.
The Preacher,tells a tragic story.
GrandPa's Porch, is a very special song about my wife's GrandPa, Foster Bailey. We used to sit out on his porch and just enjoy the evenings.
No Greater Love, is about a tragic mining accident that happened at Blue Creek number 5 mine, here where I live.
Tomorrow, is a song that encourages you to hold on. Tomorrow might just be the day.
For Richer Or Poorer, is a love song I wrote for my wife. I used the traditional wedding vows in the chorus of this song. I think it would make a great wedding song.
City Streets, is a song about a homeless man. Someone commented that its "a beautiful tragedy". I must agree.
