Description
Described as ambient, middle-eastern, techno, trance dance music with lush strings and etheric vocals. LOVESPACE is mostly electronic, occasionally utilizing other acoustic instruments and different vocal styles keeping the sound alive; often turning in unexpected directions. Some tracks bring you to a stillness and contemplation and others develop entrancing, upbeat rhythms. There are abstract interpretations along with classic melodic voice and strings.
LOVESPACE is the work of Diane Kirkland based in Los Angeles. As a former hypnotherapist and healing arts practitioner, Diane began making background music for her clients hypnosis audio tapes, to help them relax and access the subconscious. Eventually the music became more interesting than the therapy and she then began to compose documentary and TV soundtrack music.
Diane is also an accomplished belly dancer; performing at various restaurants and theatres in Los Angeles. My love of middle-eastern music began to grow over the years of bellydance classes and I began to introduce its rhythms into my music. Its all about connecting to ones spirit or source - that which we have hidden way from. Its about reconnecting with our higher self
