Description
The Lonesome Stragglers band formed at Clifftop old time music festival in West Virginia in 2002. It features Neal Pressley on fiddle, Mark Rast on clawhammer banjo and Patrick Pressley on guitar. They have all been playing old time music for many years, and "Susquehanna Waltz" is their first recording. Neal is also an acomplished guitar and banjo and player. Mark plays old time and bluegrass banjo, guitar, dobro and sings. Patrick also plays percussion, sings and has also played cello since childhood and has recorded, playing cello with Joseph Lafave on guitar with their band, Compost, on a CD titled "Rustic Voyage". The music versitiliy of these three musicians gives this recording a dynamic and energy that truly gives the listener a thrill. Old time, Appalachian fiddle music is so much a part of our American heritage, and is a style that everyone enjoys...everyone!!!
