Some say Lynn Patricks upbeat instrumental guitar style is reminiscent of Alex DiGrassi and Leo Kottke. You may find her albums in the "Folk" bin; then again, she fits right in with the bluegrass pickers--and when she opened for grammy award winning, jazz pianist Peter Kater, Lynns music was a perfect fit for his audience.
Patricks instrumental CD, Winnies Guitar won top honors in the Independent Music Awards. Judges included Tom Waites, Meshell Ndegeocello and Wilson Pickett. The competition was sponsored by Musician's Atlas and Border Book Stores. Her third CD, When She Dreams, made Colorado's KUNC top five acoustic albums the year it was released.
Both albums have been used for transitional breaks on NPR's All Things Considered, Morning Edition, Talk of the Nation, and Living on Earth. Residents throughout Colorado hear it daily as transitional music on Colorado Public Radio's news shows.
