Description
Tony was born on June 9, 1978 in Hartford, CT. Born into a musical family, Tony grew up listening to his Uncle's play the bass and drums and decided to pick up the guitar when he was 15.
Tony began writing in college and upon graduation, he entered the studio with Alan Veniscofsky of Rane to record "Arbitrary" a collection of acoustic songs Tony had written throughout college. Guitarist Tom Gaetani played lead guitar on 2 tracks, "Slumber" and "Clifford" and Tony and Tom began playing more and more together mixing their styles and finally formed the Tony and Tom Trio.
The "Trio" began playing around the greater Hartford area opening for such acts as The Verve Pipe, Rane, The Part One Tribe, and The Seth Yacavone Band. Drummer Max Berg and Bassist Scott Johnson filled in the rest of the sound and the "Trio" moved from acoustic to groove oriented rock. During the summer of 2004, the band recorded the six track EP "Journey Through Existence".
Shortly after Tony moved to the Boston area. He released an EP "Beyond" which was produced by Aaron Katz. Joining Tony on this EP is his wife Julie adding her tremendous voice for backing vocals. Bassist Pat Dole was brought in and Aaron Katz laid down the drums and keys.
Currently Tony is booking shows all over New England to support his EP "Beyond". He is booking solo acoustic shows, or full band shows where he is backed by his good friends Tom, Max and Scott from the Trio, and Julie joins him on stage to sing as well.
