Description
This album has been out of print for a long time now so when Jim McCarty asked me if I would like to help him get this disc back on the market I was more than happy to agree. Here are a few words from Yardbirds/Renaissance founding member James McCarty about this album:
Louis Cennamo and myself met up again in the mid - eighties and decided to get together and create some peaceful music of a healing nature, as we were and still are both very interested in spritual healing.
We contacted Colin Wilcox, who ran a company called New World Cassettes, and played him some of our ideas. He was impressed, and consequently we went on to record several albums with the company.
Colin seemed to prefer our more upbeat material and when we completed "Raindreaming" with Clifford White helping out on keyboards, it seemed that it may have been too light for them.
We approached a Canadian flute player called Ron Korb who ran a company called Oasis and he was impressed enough to release it around 1990.
Since that time Ron has left the company to do more performing around the World, and Oasis have suffered from a decline in the general"New Age" market.
So, we are happy to now present this CD of which we are vey proud.
Jim McCarty
Soft reflective music from two of England's premier artists. Beatiful pastoral melodies, gentle shifting textures and echoing ambiances of rain and whale song carry the listener away on a journey for the dreaming imagination.
Stairway is:
Yardbirds/Renaissance founding member Jim McCarty on keyboards.
Former member of Renaissance/Steamhammer/Colosseum: Loui Cenammo on guitar.
Special guests include Jane Relf (Renaissance) vocals on track 6
