Misled Citizen:
Four 17/18 year olds with a catchy sound encompassing the best of all in punk rock and roll that's come before. Equal parts sex pistols, bad religion, black flag, pennywise, afi, and elvis. It's the spirit of 3 chord Ramones with a modern day spin told by the youth of today.
Raised in so cal suburban hell- Misled Citizen have simulataneously seen the best and worst of life. Million dollar homes mere minutes away from Mexican barrios. Kids and adults wasting their lives through religious fervor, greed, self-absorbtion, or simply addiction. Growing up a few miles from the worst methamphetamine epidemic in the country. It's easy to see inspiration for songs like 'The Dream' (tr. 4), 'Go to Hell' (tr. 2), 'Methamphetamine' (tr. 6), and 'Emo Boy' (tr.7) knowing where they've come from.
In short, their debut album "Hate and Chaos", is a reflection of the modern world... An observance of the twisted nature of life nowadays; of billion dollar wars and trillion dollar deficits; of innocent deaths, puppet governments, and terrorist paranoia; of all the fucked-up events the average person swallows down as daily life.
This album is a shout of protest. WAKE UP! Look at the life you are living and change!
