Description
A few months into Moes Haven's famed album-a-day project of 2006, Farley and Scalzo decided that they'd celebrate Summer in July. And that's what they did. They spent the entire month writing great songs about long Summer days at the lake. The thirteen best of them make up JULY: IN THE SUN WITH ME?
It's the perfect album to listen to while you're at the lake house with friends and family. Or, if you're stuck somewhere in a cold climate and you want to dream about better days ahead, just pop this disc into your stereo and let Moes Haven take you away to the carefree days of Summer.
This album is pure pop/rock bliss. That any band other than The Beach Boys could create such great celebrations of Summer and youth is impressive. That this superb album is just one of twelve albums Moes Haven is releasing in 2006 is downright shocking.
How do these guys do it? I don't know. But I'm glad they're doing it. Farley and Scalzo are quietly living up to their promise to become the most prolific band in the world.
This album features "Jerry and Joe," a tribute to famed Red Sox broadcasters Jerry Trupiano and Joe Castiglione, two essential components to a perfect Summer day in New England.
We'll see you in August!
