Dave OLeary has been writing and performing music for well over 15 years and has poured his passion into great lyrics and fine acoustic guitar playing.His music betrays the beauty of the world in which he lives and is connected to. This album is a collection of songs about love, from romantic love, with all its ups, downs and complexities, to the crystal clear joy of fatherhood to friendships and everything squashed in between.
It has been said that these songs could inspire the script of a movie or be the sound track or just make you want to stay in love.
Dave's influences and musical inspiration on this album come from a collective of great acoustic guitar players and lyricyst such as Bruce Cockburn,David Wilcox the fabulous Tom Waits and Australian Steve Cummings .
Years of experimenting with open tunings striving to extract more from his instrument, other than what can be offered in the so called standed tuning, has expanded his repetoire of sounds. His rootsy blues vocal style supports and eriches his guitar playing,while the content has been described as laconic and straight to the heart of things. Coupled with beautiful art work from Kat Mat productions and Nina Graphics it completes this album very well.
