Description
Wynn Walent writes and performs with a voice that is destined to put him ahead. He writes classic songs on the human condition with melodies that the greats of the past somehow missed. Probably the most genuine songwriter in New York (Jay Goettleman, Liberated Matter). Wynn has performed across the country in clubs ranging from Nashville to Portland. He has recently signed on for an east coast tour with the world renowned Parker String Quartet. Since coming to New York via Virginia, Wynn has quickly developed a local following playing frequently in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. (Knitting Factory, Living Room, Galapagos, Zipper Theatre, etc) This record is his debut release.
"This quietly confident singer/songwriter has us hooked on his just-released eponymous album, Wynn Walent, which offers a straightforward brand of Beatles-inspired folk rock and wise-beyond-his-years lyrics". (Gotham Magazine)
