About We're About 9:
"Well beyond the ordinary" - The Washington Post
"Anyone who has seen We're About 9 on stage knows them as fun-loving and energetic. Their charm and on-stage charisma keep their performance engaging, but ultimately these traits are trumped by the wisdom inherent in their writing" - The Takoma Voice. On Live Wherever You Are, they take turns on lead vocal, sing three-part harmony on every song, and accompany each song with thoughtfully conceived acoustic guitar and electric bass.
About the New Live Record:
Live Wherever You Are is We're About 9's newest recording. It's easily their most energetic and fun recording to date - a full 58 minutes of fun. It was recorded at Jammin' Java (Vienna, VA), and mixed by Andy Fox of Gemini Squared Studios (Blackwood, NJ). The record was mastered by Bill Wolf of Wolf Productions (Alexandria, VA), who also engineered recordings of Eddie from Ohio and the Dixie Chicks. The record is a collection of 14 songs: nine previously unreleased WA9 originals; three originals that were featured on the band's EP, Something Magnetic; and one cover: Springsteen's "4th of July, Asbury Park." It's not just a recording of the band, it's of the fans as well and the obvious cycle of energy between all of them. It's palpable.
