Background:'DO YOUR OWN THANG!'is Will's most recent release.It's been a long road for Dunlap.Originaly from Denver,Will first made his mark in Austin during the 1980s as a session player and club musician.He co-fronted two local rock groups'The Rockaholics and Childsplay'at the local clubs like'Steamboat''The Austin Outhouse'and at 'Thundercloud beer garden'ect...As the drummer for the Reggae Group in the 1990s'The Majestics'he opened up for international stars such as 'Yellow Man' at the now gone but not forgotten venue Liberty Lunch.During that period he also played Jazz with some of Austin's best Pat 'Homeboy' Patterson and JW. Davis along with the likes of Boomer Norman and Mike Maddux.Will then co-wrote and played guitar for the eclectic group 'Mooncoop'featuring Amparo Garcia at acoustic venues like the 'Chicago House''Cactus cafe'and the 'Colorado street cafe'.
In 2005 he switched exclusively to Baritone guitar and opened up several shows for the "Uranium Savages" at Jovitas and Gino's.
Will released his first cd in the year 2000 after producing a cd for the Austin rock group 'Nine Worlds'.
Now days he's got his own group,tours as a hired gun and plays regularly around Austin backing up singers such as Timothy Curry.

Track number one 'In the wind'let's you know right away that Shannon has what it takes.Track two 'South Austin Gal'is a fun little shuffle that takes the listener on a whirlwind tour of South Austin Texas.Track three 'Have you seen her?' asks the age old question :Where's the one Iv'e been searching for? Track Four 'Single mans Blues' is wonderfully preformed Blues track by Shannon.Track five is Carls cool,rock song'Cabin Fever'.Track Six is the most compelling,half Spoken and half sung 'Tangible Love'. Track Seven 'The Garden' tells a story of a woman who must seek her personal peace and eventualy finds it.The funky title track:'Do your own Thang!'encourages people not to always follow the cultural norms of today.
