Description
Tim (Lyrics and guitar) used to be married to Poppy (Vocals and backing vocals), who is the sister of Johnny (Drums, guitar, vocals, backing vocals and writes the music) who is married to Leilani (Backing vocals). Huw (Bass and backing vocals) and Johnny were at school with Cathy (Vocals and backing vocals) and we all met Jay (Guitars, bass, percussion, producer Axe-god!) through Johnny's work.
Hi!
Tim and Johnny have been writing songs together for years, mixing sweet, lyrical music with words that explore the cynicism and anger of modern life, but we've mellowed since our last album (Wives And Servants, also on CDBaby) so there are even love songs on this album. Albeit love songs with a difference: Plans for Love is about Internet Dating ("The best plnned lays of mice and men"), Love Has Hands is about seduction and "Photography In The 20th Century" is not really a love song ... really. Then again, Come Back To Bed is a mature expression of that point in the relationship where all you really want is a good night's sleep. There's murder (Talk To Me Like The Rain) Xenophobia (In The War), and a portrait of a modern phenomenon: Johnson. Go on, you'll love it!
So that's us and those are the songs. Tell us what you think through the CDBaby site.
