Description

The charm of a Carnival shall last forever. Nothing seems to draw a Carnival crowd as does the exciting music of a real Band Organ. Its joyful sound made the rides irresistible. The rhythm seems to install a desire for a "forget-your-troubles" ride on the Carousel. The step grows faster and the thrill of the music gives a lift to the spirit.
The four machines heard on this disc were used in Carnivals and amusement areas, and played on their Carousels. All play from a paper roll and range in size from a large organ to a moderate sized one. These include "BIG NELLY", a 61 key Artizan Military Band Organ, which is now located on the Carousel at Disneyland France. "Katy Lou" is a style #153 Wurlitzer Duplex Orchestral Organ. The "Queen of Kings Island" which is a style #157 Military Band Organ and the Wurlitzer Caliola, the smallest of the four organs. Each organ was recorded at peak restoration. This CD is great for any circus or carnival themed parties.
