Welcome back to Paranoid Larry Land!
Prove It Music celebrates the release of Paranoid Larry's second CD "Are You Following Me?"
Since being discovered on a Brooklyn rooftop during a video shoot for Pork Chop's holiday classic "White Trash Christmas", Larry has made quite a splash. His eponymous first CD came from seemingly out of nowhere, receiving great reviews and excited word-of-mouth, with ever-increasing sales, countless downloads, significant airplay --leading to guest appearances on several shows; and wonderful cover versions. Most notably, The Vocal trio The Roches' new CD Moonswept features 2 of Larry's songs (one from his first Cd and one from the new one.) His videos are fan favorites and his live appearances -- many of which are benefits for political causes -- are true events.
Larry is an adamant opponent of our traditional two-party system which he considers to be obsolete. As he puts it, "After a party on Friday night and a party on Saturday night, I'm just gettin' warmed up!!"
"Are you Following Me?" picks up where the first CD left off. While the moniker of "paranoid" came about as an affectionate overstatemant of his views, there's no doubt that Larry is suspicious of the powers-that-be. As he sings it: "When all that's said should be read in reverse, solutions are meant to make things worse." After all, a thoughtful questioning and suspicion of authority is the true American way and Paranoid Larry is here to ward off complacency.
Lucky for us, though, Larry's sense of humor and spirit of fun dominate this new "Political Party Record." With great songs, terrific delivery and musicianship, and excellent production, it's first and foremost loads of fun --guaranteed to ticle your funnybone, get your toes tapping, your knees knocking and the whole house rocking!
Enjoy it! (while you still can)
