Description
Sylvia Pilar is a singer songwriter who has been in the music scene from Coast to Coast. Underground clubs of San Francisco, to a one-woman show The Lady is a Vamp on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, and lounges like Le Bar Bat, Hush, and off-Broadway stages throughout New York City have all been graced by Sylvia. After many years of writing and with two songbooks registered with the Library of Congress, she finally decided it was time to get serious, and was compelled to record and produce her own original material, with a new perspective, and her debut CD: SEDUXION
Sylvia's adult eclectic music is a fusion of sophisticated vintage qualities and contemporary grooves that relate to a hip Euro-lounge genre. Influences of pop/jazz and Latin/bossa rhythms blend seamlessly in her original songs as well as the cover songs. The songs on her CD range from dance and romance to magic and mystique, while her old favorites take a new spin with new exotic flavors of trance and chill grooves.
Sylvia stays active in the performing arts, is a member of SAG/AFTRA, and is able to maintain many roles in her life with ease: actress/singer/model/poet, as well as savvy New York Real Estate agent. When not recording and working on her original material she enjoys singing the standards and performing in Cabaret - lounge venues.
