Pineross
Pineross
A portrait of the fading Old West. Pineross blends the elements of 1940's country, spaghetti westerns, and Irish melodies into a post-modern countryside. The result is an 11 track musical novel best listened to while driving down a wide, lazy road.

Description
Pineross is the brainchild of Kevin Larkin, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose roots tap deeply into the country music of the 1940's and 50's, the lonesome sound of bluegrass, and the grace of Irish melodies. The songs were written about some kind of old West that everybody knew was disappearing, or maybe already gone. A modern day Quixote still living from the desert to the tavern, battling a cactus mistaken for bandits and thieves, never mindful of the freeway traffic. In that vein is the setting of the debut album.
