Description
Texas-based PITBULL DAYCARE is unique indeed. They combine the hard, aggressive beats of modern industrial music and some inspired electronica sampling with a ferocious guitar attack that is unrivaled in today's metal scene-think NINE INCH NAILS meets the SEX PISTOLS. PITBULL DAYCARE is nothing short of a true experimental band on the edge of a technological age, exploring imagery both vivid and immediate while offering many different shades of color on a single digital landscape. "PITBULL DAYCARE's music is nothing less than an innovator's masterpiece," says G.E. Sierra of CD Now.
What makes their sound stand apart from the many other industrial/electronica bands is that they get true human emotion and aggressive energy into the cold hard styling of their electro/guitar heavy music. "Our sound...white trash industrial punk" exclaims lead singer Bishop.
Formed in 1997, PBDC's debut album SixSixSex, released on M.I.A. Records, showcased the power and emotion unleashed in their music. Newly signed to Cleopatra Records, the band's latest release UNCLEAN, a CD/DVD package, was produced by Fred Coury of CINDERELLA. The album contains their signature style with songs like "Slam" and "Feel So Dead" while adding a few new tricks such as the title track "Unclean," which features rapper/activist KRS ONE, as well as a remake of the REM classic "It's The End Of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)." With these songs, this hard working band is destined to be catapulted into the limelight!
Their fans are rabid, creating an extensive worldwide street team army affectionately named "Pitbull Puppies" by the band. Pitbull Puppies have created fan clubs in their own cities and designed numerous websites devoted to the band.
Print and broadcast media has discovered them also, having graced the pages of HIT PARADER, METAL EDGE, KERRANG, BURN, HARDFORCE and numerous fanzines worldwide. They were also listed on BILLBOARD'S Top 100 Best Unsigned Bands of 1998 and recently appeared on Fox Sports Network's "54321" show; the network will never be the same!
Self-proclaimed touring addicts, PBDC has toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe with noted artists GENITORTURERS, KING DIAMOND, LORDS OF ACID, ELECTRIC HELLFIRE CLUB and N-17/WORKHORSE MOVEMENT. They also held a slot on Metallica's Lollapalooza stint and have toured extensively during summer 2005 in support of UNCLEAN.
