Description

The Rhinestone Diplomats were formed in Minneapolis in 2004 when guitarists Steve Wold (3 Below) and Aaron Cabbage (Brown Shoe Boys) expanded their acoustic duo into an original acoustic/electric rock band. Influenced by the likes of Son Volt and Bob Dylan, the addition of Steve Sutherland (Nova Mob, Sam I Am) on drums and Dave Wickiser (Space Invaders) on bass completed the sound of The Rhinestone Diplomats. They have played to great crowds at First Avenue, Lee's Liquor Lounge, The Fine Line, Whisky Junction, O'Gara's and Mayslacks among others. The Rhinestone Diplomats first CD/EP, "Skeleton Hill", a 6 song EP mixed by Tom Herbers (Gear Daddies, Low) is now available at www.rhinestonediplomats.com, local record stores, online at "cdbaby.com" and at our shows.
