Description
Born and raised in London, Simon White started playing Bass Guitar around the age of 10. By the age of 17 Simon was a gigging musician and had already played some of London's best venues.
By his late teens he was a gigging professional Bassist/Singer, cutting his teeth not only on the London circuit but at venues up and down the country with 3 piece rock band Dead Calm. In his early twenties, and with well over 200 + gigs behind him, Simon won a Scholarship to study at the world famous Musicians Institute London.
It was during his time at MI that Simon was inspired by the likes of James Jamerson & Daryll Jones started to develop his now trademark rock solid, stripped down and no fuss Bass playing style.
2005 saw Simon embark on his first solo project armed with a wealth of musical idea's. Coupled with his own lyrical style Simon set out his personal commentary on subjects as diverse as Love, Hate, One Night Stands, Living Hand to Mouth and the Fragility and Complexity of the Human Condition. All set against a backdrop of hard hitting, straight talking rock music often referencing from where it came without ever taking a backwards step.
In August 2006 Simon White released his first Album inspired by his first two passions Rock Music & People 'Talk on Corners' is the uncompromisingly perceptive & insightful result.
