Description
At the time of recording Lords & Peacocks there were just two members of Sir Splendid. Marcus Barron vocals, guitars, keys and Paul Chandegra drums.
Sir Splendid shows a heavy dose of 60's-70's British rock influence scattering through out the album. Recorded as two separate EP's during 2005 eventually it was decided to throw all the songs onto one album.
Sir Splendid is based out of San Diego, Cali. Marcus and Paul have played in other San Diego based bands together prior to Sir Splendid. First band was called Saturnalia which also included Waterline Drift front man and guitarist Matt Gagin. The other a rock-electro experimental outfit called Square Circle.
The latest line up for Sir Splendid includes Price of Dope bassist Christian Schinelli, and former Square Circle guitarist Paul Poppleton. The band is finishing up the second Sir Splendid album called Sinister Purpose and plan to release it in the fall of 2006.
