Description
In 1975 at the age of 22 Sonny was saved and joined a small
Free Will Baptist Church in South Carolina. Baptized in
Black River in the middle of November Sonny began his walk
of faith. It was a journey that would take him through many
southern states as a bivocational pastor. These efforts
were difficult but not as difficult, nor as rewarding as a
young inexperienced minister's efforts to over the Old
South's refusal to die. The things that happen along that
journey are as rocky and as blue as the music it created.
