Description
Ben's second jazz-fusion project, a creative collaboration with Angel Resto on bass and Frank Young on drums.
The trio pull out all the stops here for a high energy set of instrumentals. The listener will pick up a strong Jeff Beck influence, as well as that of Scott Henderson, Steve Morse, Allan Holdsworth and more. The grooves are deep, the compositions sophisticated, the playing intense!
This group was originally formed to support Ben's first CD First Light, but has emerged as a powerful writing and performing team. The result is a new CD of focused, intense and uplifting instrumentals, featuring stellar musicianship and lots of improvisation and interplay.
Frank Young and Angel Resto joined with Ben to make the new CD, One Mind, a truly collaborative project. Angel and Frank have been friends for a long time and had jammed together many times before joining with Ben; their remarkable musical interplay and communication are essential to the aggressive improvisational style of the One Mind project.
