Description
Atlanta, Georgia-based singer Stephen Sebastian is playing with a different sound these days. Featuring a new band lineup, his live shows are gravitating back toward a more traditional rock approach after being mostly acoustic for 2005. And he has just released his second independent CD, Time, available now from Landstrider Records. The Lennon-McCartney songwriting influence is still apparent in Time, but the biggest musical inspiration for the project came from 1970s rock albums such as Lou Reeds Berlin and David Bowies Ziggy Stardust period. Add to that the occasional Smashing Pumpkins-style heavy guitar riff, and Stephen delivers a modern pop/rock concept album all his own. The lyrics deal with everything from drug addiction and suicide to love and faith with, of course, an opportunity for redemption in the end. Who knows what the future will hold?
