High Impedance exemplifies what Superhorse is as a musical force, a self-indulgent fist of raw rock punching you in the ear. Their Bowery punk, droned out raunchy psych-rock is often compared to The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, MC5, and the likes. The band tries to bridge the huge gap between the lyricism of the early-mid 60s with the no wave style of Sonic Youth.
Charismatic front man Keith Kozel leads a group of veteran players with a raw energy that people gravitate to.
