Dave Rosser is a multi-instrumentalist in New Orleans and records and tours with LA's Twilight Singers (Greg Dulli), and has recorded with Emerson Hart (Tonic), The Twilight Singers, CC Adcock (Little Band O'Gold), Tom Maxwell (Squirrel Nut Zippers), Jason Ross (7Mary3). He can be found sometimes darkening random stages in the French Quarter.
Telescope began in 2004 as a collaboration between songwriter-percussionist Greg Wiz (NYC) and multi-instrumentalist Dave Rosser (New Orleans). The two had roots in New Orleans in the 90's and put out 3 albums with local favorites Daydreams+Curry. The two found the separation frustrating and began a collaboration via American Airlines and Fedex, recorded in New York and New Orleans over about a year. It documents the changes and gestalt of that time.
The album features appearances by Joseph Arthur, Jenifer Jackson and Pat Sansone, and is produced by the band with Benjamin Mumphrey (Frank Black) and super-genius Mike Napolitano (Joseph Arthur, Blind Melon, Neville Brothers).
