Description
Tony Messina's recent show at the Cuillo Centre for the Arts took South Florida by storm and trying to procure a last minute reservation was an exercise in dashed hopes. Once the word got out, the theatre was sold out. This show and CD title "Tony Messina Live" had the audience swooning.
The entire stage was practically covered with long stem red roses. "Tony takes over a stage far better than most of his contemporaries," says the Palm Beach Post. The Palm Beach Illustrated labeled Tony "Sensational." This CD, "Tony Messina Live" was recorded live on February 21, 2002 at the Cuillo Centre for the Arts with Irwin Solomon on piano, David Wertman on bass and Jeff Plotnick on drums. Tony has sung with such entertainment luminaries as Stan Kenton, Lionel Hampton, Louie Bellson and Alan Broadent. He has acted in films and on television with David Letterman, Mel Brooks, John Hurt, Johnny Carson and many others.
