Description
One of the most overlooked bands of the Nineties, Trash Can School was an amalgamation of punk rock saxophonist Andy Seven broadening his musical horizons with a three-guitar army and a powerful rhythm section (featuring Paul Fox of Pressurehed fame).
The band deftly combined Sun Ra-style jazz anrachy with wildly distorted hard rock guitars to create a unique sound. The band's premiere single, a cover of Patti Smith's "Horses" was an instant underground FM radio hit. Soon the band landed shows opening for many large indie bands, such as White Zombie, Hole, L7, The Melvins, Fugazi, Helmet, Cop Shoot Cop, Surgery, and The Lubricated Goat, among others.
"Big Bang Radiation Blues" gives everyone a taste of what their legendary shows typically sounded like. Recorded live in San Francisco and Hollywood, their latest CD is an explosive document of those unforgettable nights.
