Description
Born as Marcus Montana, Tru faced a lot of choices growin' up. Raised 20 min. from the Big Easy (New Orleans) in the town of Lacombe, LA. He was challeged with which path to walk, there is one path that leads to death and distruction, but he chose the path to life. Raised in a single parent home thingz haven't alwayz been easy. His mom worked two jobs to raise him and his sista. Choosin' to travel the narrow path thingz looked brighter for him than for a lot of his peers growin' up. Most of them turned to drugs and trying to get things the fast way, therefore, some even spent tyme in jail. Born into a family that was known for causin' trouble, even when tryin' to do the right things at times he still came up short. He came to a realization that no matter how good we do it would never be good enough, so in the year of '96 a desire to pursue Jesus Christ became so real. The grace that God pours out can never be obtained by doin' thingz. A life changin' event cause him to pick up the mic, and begin to tell people about the love of God. Eventhough he always had a love for music, it never became a part of him tell he met Christ and chose to use the gift and influence of hip-hop to reach the masses.
