MARY UKELADY lives in the western foothills of Maine where she is a singer, songwriter, poet & artist. A native of the Boston area, she was highly influenced by the Beatles and the Folk Music scene of the 60's & 70's. Her love of life and free spirit has now led her on a musical quest leading up to the release of her debute CD, LOVE IS STRONG.
AND HERE IT IS!
'A macrame of lighthearted lyrics and deep rooted soul, textured with love and magic.
"Love Is Strong" is UNIQUE and features 12 tracks of original folk songs; fun, jazzy, and foot tapping.
I'm delighted to present these songs to you. This is a collection filled with versatality enriched by some of Maine's fine musicians - Earl Bigelow on guitar, Dave Kent on bass, Hal Ahlers on drums, Scott Davis on trumpet & flugle horn, and Jim Tolles on violin. All while I played concert UKULELE and sang my heart out.
"THIS MUSIC WILL MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD!"
