United By Sound
Electro, crunk, bluegrass, rock, and ragga all met in the streets of the surreal 21st century America, fought like raging lions and then became great friends, and then had a child fifty feet high.

Description
United By Sound was formed in 2001 by singer Jeni Ivey and producer TMO with one focus in mind: to ignore genres and create a unique sound that would move people.
After five years of eating, breathing and living countless hours of shows, studio sessions, remixes, writing and re-writing, as well as your occasionally random and crazy life situations, UBS has found a new sound that they can claim as their own; which has begun to move people worldwide. Imagine if electro, crunk, bluegrass, rock, and ragga all met in the streets of the surreal 21st century America, fought like raging lions and then became great friends, had a child and named it UBS.
It started as Tmos illegal street poster campaign, with the simple slogan United By Sound on walls and telephone poles across Southern California. This soon became the title of an experimental remix project by Jeni & TMO, where together they combined their unique musical backgrounds with a shared love for dub and hip-hop. After the successful release with their LP Shaping, they realized that they had accidentally found something with mainstream potetial. They then ditched L.A. to cultivate it on their own terms in San Francisco. In SF, UBS previous influences collided with The Bay Areas burgeoning Hyphy & Experimental Rock
movements. These new influences in addition to the struggle to survive helped birth their new self titled EP.
