Description
Finally, after 3 and 1/2 years together The Victory In Heaven Band releases a CD of what it does best - live blues! V.I.H. III: "Live... on a mission from God" was recorded live in March 2003 at The Blue Mountain Coffeehouse in Strausstown, PA. Recorded before an extremely live "home crowd" this recording cracks with energy from start to finish. In the set are two songs from the band's first CD and three from the second. Also featured are six first-time V.I.H. recordings that include staples from their live show, "Never Been To Seminary," "Before You 'Cuse Me," the Allman Brothers' "Change My Way Of Livin'" and a never-before-recorded original, "Don't Fool Yourself." Guitarist Sterling Koch performs his version of "The Star Spangled Banner" in tribute to his guitar hero Jimi Hendrix and the band brings down the house with the closer, "Trouble Will Soon Be Over."
