Description
Solid Ground is Peters first solo recording. After releasing a CD in 2003 with his old band Krushr (self-titled EP), Peter called upon band members and many other musician friends to help with this project. Recorded at Kissy Pig Studio in Allston, MA with K.R. Mogensen engineering, the ten songs here - a superb set of guitar-driven pop, straight up rock n roll, and mid-tempo numbers that highlight Baldrachis classic pop songwriting style - feature Peter on vocals, drums, percussion and backing vocals. He was backed by a talented core band of Gary Rand on guitars, Alice Austin on backing vocals, and Steve Buonomo on bass. Other former band mates and friends such as guitarist Richard Mirsky (The Wayoutz, The Psychopaths), bassist Dave Leitch (Mayberry), guitarist K.R. Mogensen and keyboardists Lester Goodwine (LP Productions) and David Bunky Horak also made key contributions to the recordings. The record was mixed by Pete Peloquin (Oasis, The Pixies, Government Mule, The Hives) at Studio Metronome and mastered by Jay Frigoletto (Blondie, War, Monster Magnet) at Mastersuite.
