Description
One Part Lisa Hahn and Two Parts Dot Com.
Lisa Hahn first picked up a guitar in the early 90's and is primarily self taught, drawing her influence from folk to punk to classic blues, especially Muddy Waters. In 98 Lisa moved from New Jersey to Chicago where she began performing as an acoustic singer/songwriter.
After moving back east in 05 and finding work as a guitar maker, Lisa built herself an electric guitar and started collecting drum machines. Eventually she had upwards of four drum machines running simultaneously, controlling them through a series of homemade foot switches, all the while singing and playing guitar. This is when she decided to start putting together the band...
First Came Dave Wnorowski and his Bass Guitar...
Dave has traveled all around the world on the road and on tour, for most of his life. He currently resides in Brooklyn where he works as a guitar maker.
Dave is one of the most talented bass players out there. His influences are as varied as a record store. In fact he is so rooted to his music, it is rumored that his heart beats a bass line.
Next came Emily Lee on Keyboard...
One afternoon after work and over a beer, Lisa asked a friend if he know of any talented keyboard players. One name immediately jumped out at him: Emily Lee. As luck would have it Emily's got skills!
Emily attended Barnard as a Music Composition major and she isn't afraid to rock. Stevie Wonder, circa 1973, is her musical hero, and this fact alone attests to why she is the final and essential ingredient to the motley stew that is the Dot Com.
