Description
Prayers and Promises brings together Gospel, blues, jazz, folk, country, classical, and pop in 10 instrumental tracks for a smooth and satisfying listening experience. From the jazz-tinged "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" and the blues of "Watchman's Prayer" to the quiet reflection of "A Soldier's Homecoming" and "Country Morning Blue" this CD is sure to be a pleasant surprise for your listening palette.
This CD is a long time coming (more than 10 years, really), and the Lord brought a number of circumstances together so that this CD project might have come to fruition.
What about the title "Prayers and Promises"? It was a title and a concept that hit me out of the blue, when I was thinking of putting this project together. God in His infinite grace has been starting to grow in me a love for prayer and a heart for people. Through Christ's sacrifice, I've come to know a life I never knew existed. As Dottie Rambo's old song says "He looked beyond my fault and saw my need".
