Description
This is music for the heart, music for the soul, and music for the mind all wrapped up into one in the creative process of a mutt of musical influences. Ranging from a folkish lament on the arrogance of a postmodern generation, to a jazz trio setting of an invitation to a woman to become a beloved, to a funky acoustic warning about the imminent Second Coming and those who teach a false prosperity gospel, Tim Powell's 'Expendable' comes across as an album that just can't make up its mind. But this indecision is (mostly) on purpose, trying to give the listener a lot to hear, as well as lyrically provide a lot to think about. This is no album for the lazy!
