Arrocata is the moniker for composer Robert Straub.
Robert has been an active musician/composer for over 3 decades. Both formally trained and self-taught, Roberts musical interests and influences span a wide spectrum from Jazz, Progressive Rock, Experimental Ambient, Musique Concrete, Electronic to the Classics.

Robert's music often takes shape in many uniquely different forms, from serene atmospheric soundscapes with surreal textures to disticnt rhythmic meditations while others encompass more traditional forms.

Robert intuitively utilizes electronic and acoustic sounds that have become the basis for most of his work and draws inspiration from the expansive, time-suspending open spaces reflected in the deserts of the American Southwest where he makes his home. This blend of experience and inspiration has enables Robert to weave a distinctive and sublime sonic experience.

In this release Robert mixes Ambient Chill and Experimental Electronic into a pleasant listening experience that will leave you "Not Far From Here" but definitely in a much "cooler place".
