through her act I get the sense that Beckys reaching for empathy, but I think she tries to give that back in return. Her material is bawdy and dynamic. At the same time she tries, or at least gives the appearance, to maintain sensitivity. She seems to enter each new taboo delicately, with a symbolic gentle clearing of her throat, 'Not quite sure how to say this,' whispering 'Excuse me', then tires of the bullshit and kicks in the door with a sawed off shotgun screaming. I don't think shes looking to change the world, but instead, talks to her audience like she does to her friends over drinks.
