Description

The Soul of the Irish Piano is a unique project from Ireland's premier pianist. In the classical and Irish style that has made J.J. unique in Irish music, he brings us 24 traditional melodies depecting Ireland's turbulent past.

The Airs belong to the "sean-nos" or the unaccompanied voice of Ireland's past.

J.J.'s combines classical arrangements and the "sean-nos" tradition together, the variations on the melody line reproducing the trills and ornaments of the old Irish singer.

This is a unique project.

Mr. Sheridan is well known to American audiences in Ireland for his starring in "Irish Eyes are Smiling" at the Great Southern Hotel in Killarney.
