Description
KASABLANCA BLVD NO SPEED LIMIT!
When developing songs for their self-funded debut album, Kasablanca Blvd had no strategy in terms of what their sound should be. They simply went to work and began narrowing down the huge number of original songs available, focusing on the songs that kept the members excited every time they played them and which only got better with each session.
The package of 12 songs on "Kasablanca Blvd" - released October 13th, 2006 - span most classifications of rock that exist, and yet each and every song has a vibe, an intensity, an urgency that makes the listener take notice. Each song is quite different from the next, but all work incredibly well together. Whether it is the undeniable hook of "Strange", the power of "Believe", the sting of "The Angel & The Anarchist", the grace of "Rivers", or the infectious groove of "In Limbo", the common thread is simple ... the songs move people.
What toonage.ca says:
Their sound can be best summed up as modern music for the classic rock fan, something that has been missing for a long time. They definitely have a mass market appeal. Definitely keep an eye on Kasablanca Blvd ... they have the potential to go further.
