Secret Me is a sometimes bold and often tender performance of fresh new tunes and dance grooves from this brilliant young emerging vocalist and songwriter.
When you think of Makaela you know that some people are born to sing. As the daughter of musicians she has been around music her entire life. Makaela began singing for audiences when she was a little girl. Since then she has studied piano, voice, songwriting, and dance. All of which is included in her unique performance style.
The lovely and talented Makaela is a 19 year old Pop-R&B singing sensation, songwriter, keyboardist, and producer whose style keeps evolving. She has the exciting natural ability to ignite spontaneous bursts of enthusiasm in her audiences. Her charismatic appeal is a big hit amongst her peers and those of all ages. Makaelas growing popularity is already drawing large numbers of excited fans. Most recently, she has had the opportunity to perform with many world class musicians in the Bay Area, Kauai, Boston, and Hollywood. She has recently finished studying at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, and was a winning contestant in the 2006 summer songwriting competition.
Her extraordinary talent has attracted many exceptional musicians who enjoy performing with her. She also performs as a solo artist accompanying herself on keyboards. In performance she has a style and soulfulness that is distinctly her own. Some call her emerging genre Hip Pop.
