Description
Paul Harrison is a singer-songwriter-guitarist from near Annapolis MD. After releasing two secular CDs and an instrumental CD with Michael Zampi, Paul explores spiritual issues on Come Home and produces some very moving, inspirational songs.
A common thread connecting the songs is the search for a personal relationship with God. Most of the songs are mellow, intimate songs about such topics as the need to take a breath and slow down from the busy pace of modern life, or to be patient when things dont happen as quickly as you hoped. Other songs celebrate the joy of discovering Gods extraordinary love. Track 4 is a lively, soulful cut about sharing the discovery of Gods love and track 6 adds a bluesy feel to the contemporary folk flavor of most of the songs.
For Come Home, Harrison taps the talents of his very talented friends who sing the majority of the songs Janet Griffin and Treasure Camero (who also appear on Paul's "A New Blend" CD) plus Tara Byrd, Jordan Schultz, and Jon and Carrie Lewis. Once Ive done my best to craft a song, I like to do all I can to present it in the best way possible, says Harrison. The singers on this CD are all outstanding and give the songs even greater depth and impact.
Some of the songs were prompted by actress friend, Anita Gutschick, who portrays Women from the Bible and uses songs to compliment her moving presentations. Four of the songs on Come Home extract the essence of those characters stories.
