Description
I know, this album has nothing to do with my beloved river which truly inspires most of my piano playing. But what's wrong with being ecclectic? In fact, this album still features my flowing style, I guess I can't help letting my fingers fly over the keyboard.
Cheers has been inspired by wine, yes! I mean no, I wasn't drunk! I simply had dinner with my wife at the wonderful bistro of the Summerhill winery in the Okanagan and the powerful combination of great wine, superb food and beautiful setting along the Okanagan lake gave me the urge to create music about wine and celebration.
After all, being born in France where wine is part of the culture-- so much so, that you are given a glass of Bordeaux in hospitals to help you get better!!-- it was only a matter of time before I was going to record something winey!
"Effervescence", the first track, is about sparkling wine and bubbles swirling in the glass..."Harvest Moon" is depicting in music the ripening vines in a fall night, waiting to be picked.
The album sounds a little jazzy, nothing really too swingy but perfect, in my view, to accompany great food and fine wines. In other words, a great companion to help you celebrate in style.
