Description
Analog Tara performed jazz piano for several years in NYC and has performed electronic music and led recording workshops at venues including the CMJ Music Festival (NYC) and Ladyfest (Chicago & TX). Her music has been released on several compilations, including Source Records/Germany and the Le Tigre Remix album, and she has released 3 full-length albums on her own label, Safety Valve. Tara is also publisher of Pinknoises.com, a web magazine on women DJs and sound artists, which launched in 2000 and was nominated as Best Music Web Site at the 2003 Webby Awards.
"Mothering Sunday" (2001, 52 min.) is an album of laid-back house music originally created for live sets at Ladyfest Midwest Chicago and Frank's Lounge in Brooklyn. Equally pleasing at home or on the dancefloor. Included on the Liquid Sound Lounge radio (WBAI/NYC) top 10 list for January 2002.
