Description
This album is another example of Paul's unique ability to blend traditional and modern contemporary styles. Some of the songs are ones that Paul has sung in concert as he leads praise and worship, while others have simply touched his heart and spoken to him in a personal and special way.
As always, he's proud to have his daughter Jessica singing with him on several songs. She has solo parts in "Use Me" and "A Dreamer's Heart", and is also in the background on several other songs. Thanks to Kimber Mowery, who co-wrote "A Dreamer's Heart" and "For The Lord Is Good", and Mark Nicholson, who wrote "How Long Must They Wait?"t for this album.
Also singing background vocals on several songs you'll hear the vocal talents of Eileen Hannay, Linda Lefurgey, Sue Pidgeon, Todd Andrews and Mark Collier, who are members of the choir at Paul's home church, the United Methodist Church in Hudson Falls, NY. Other "friends" on this album, as on Paul's previous CDs, are his 1973 Fender Stratocaster guitar, and his Wurlitzer 200 piano and Yamaha SK-15 organ, both also from the mid-70's.
Paul is also a songwriter, and as with his previous albums, he has included some of his original songs: "More Like Jesus" and "Jesus, We Lift You Up" are lively, uplifting praise and worship songs, and Paul hopes that people will start singing them in churches in their praise to God. He also wrote "It's Not Goodbye", which he hopes will give comfort to those grieving the loss of a loved one who has passed on. (We'd love to hear Josh Groban sing that one!)
Paul has performed at churches from Maine to Florida, and would love to come share his musical gifts with you. To Book Paul at your church, please visit his website.
