Description
Dateline : January 2007- A groundbreaking new release from guitar sensation Rick Brannon. Six years in the making, "Angels Highway" is Ricks 5th cd release. It includes 4 vocal songs and 6 instrumentals and features bassist Phillip Bynoe (Steve Vai, Kevin Eubanks) on 4 tracks and mixes by Fabrezio Grossi (Glenn Hughes, Dave Navaro, Chad Smith). Rick Brannon is an accomplished guitarist with his compositions being used for Fox sports and performances for HBO movies. Rick considers himself a "Calitexan" an L.A. transplant from Austin and Dallas Texas and keeps himself busy doing numerous sessions in the Los Angeles area. He will have 3 of his songs and an interview in an upcoming film about guitars titled "Solidbodies-The 50 Year War". The film is primarily about the rivalry between Fender and Gibson over the last 50 years and their desire to "one up" each other as they create new guitar innovations along the way. This movie is scheduled to be completed sometime in 2007. Rick also had a very succesfull Christmas page on my space (www.myspace.com/christmasrick) with over 190,000 plays during the Christmas season 2006.
