The Ballad Of Phineas McBoof
Doctor Noize
Wild and crazy musical storytelling for not only kids and their families, but also bass-playing hippopotamuses, robots, old ladies, yodeling lizards, octopus percussionists, and, of course, musically virtuosic monkeys.

Description
Hi everybuddy!
Doctor Noize here. Holy bananas, you look lovely today.
"The Ballad Of Phineas McBoof" tells the musical story of the great monkey, Phineas McBoof, and his adventures traveling the world and forming his legendary band, Phineas McBoof And His International Band Of Misunderstood Geniuses. The band sings a lot of way cool songs during the course of this completely true story, which must be told for the benefit of both kids and the adults who belong to them.
If you wanna hear some of the songs the band sings, just click on 'em, like "What My Robot Said" (which, like most country songs, is about a robot) or "Don't Monkey With My Heart" (which, like most pop songs, is not about a robot). No matter what you do, do NOT click on the song "Banana," as it is probably too lyrically complex for the casual listener.
To hear how the story develops and characters are introduced, click on tracks like "Bottomus The Hip Popotamus" (about the great albeit misunderstood bass playing and singing hippo) or "Riley The Robot" (there's that robot again...). Again, by all means avoid "Lenny Long Tail," in which our intrepid band unintentially busts up a classical music concert, which is really quite embarrassing. Sorry about that.
Not to be completely trumped by a story about the world's most charismatic monkey-fronted band, the album features an array of world-class musicians for your ears to feast upon, including Hershel Yatovitz (guitarist of the Chris Isaak band), Quartet San Francisco (2007 Grammy nominated string quartet), a horn section of regulars from Huey Lewis' and Carlos Santana's bands, opera superstar Nathan Gunn, and former high school music teacher Cory Cullinan (that last one doesn't have quite the same golden ring to it, does it?....).
I dare say you might catch yourself smiling, singing, and grooving to this CD, which of course is just wrong. Do stop it and go back to being serious. Honestly, what if your kids saw you behaving this way?
Still wanna know more? Dang, you do do your research, don't you? (Editor's note: I just said do do...) Then click on the Doctor Noize website link to the left and tell 'em yer lookin' for Phineas, the legendary monkey who made me Doctor Noize and taught me everything I know today about performing music. Thanks everybuddy!
Sincerely,
Doctor Noize
