LEGION X BIO ~ 2007
Legion X is a five-member wrecking crew that demolishes all boundaries and steps outside the realm of the normal metal genre. Furthermore, the bands sound cannot be described in a simple sentence. With influences ranging from Pantera, Slayer and even KISS, expect to be assaulted with Legion Xs powerful, intense drumbeats, their crushing yet melodic guitar riffs and solos, and their spine-chilling vocals. The most integral component of what sets the band apart from todays other run-of-the-mill metal acts is the electrifying display of raw energy exhibited during their live performances that Legion X guarantees to bring to the table every show, every venue, every time.
Since 2004, Legion X has been an unstoppable force tearing its way through the southern states. The year 2006 proved to be a very successful year for Legion X, with countless out-of-state shows and tours in the Southeast area. They have also performed alongside headlining national acts such as Nile, Mushroomhead, Celtic Frost, Goatwhore, and others. Towards the end of the year, Legion X made the final round of the Battle of the Bands at the Masquerade in Atlanta. After making radio appearances on local Atlanta radio stations Project 9-6-1 and WREK 91.1 to promote, Legion X closed out the year right with the release of their first EP, entitled Demonic Hour. After a successful release party at the Darkside in Marietta, Legion X is prepared to assault the east coast with their mind-blowing brand of metal in the upcoming year.
Legion X has shown dedication in the effort to make a solid name for themselves in a genre that is so hard to break even in. The extreme energy that the band shares with their audience is a true testament of their hard work, talent, and perseverance; Legion X has evolved their sound into a heavy, evil monster waiting to unleash their wrath on a venue near you.
