Description
The Rose and Thistle Wedding Band consists of three of the Pacific Northwest's most sought after Celtic musicians: Rob Barrick (highland pipes, Scottish smallpipes, bass, percussion), Elizabeth Nicholson (Celtic harp, vocals, guitar), and Eddie Parente (violin and viola). With over 75 years and 1000 weddings worth of cumulative experience, the trio's performances exhibit the highest level of professionalism and expertise. The ensemble's diverse repertoire ranges from spirited Celtic dance music, to ethereal Irish and Scottish slow airs and songs, to classical wedding favorites such as Pachelbel's Canon and Wagner's Bridal March. This cd will be the band's first release in a trio format. This recording is an expanded follow-up to Rob and Elizabeth's earlier duo cd, "Celtic Wedding Music."
