Description
Formed in the fall of 2003, Fool's Crown came together with a mission to bring back that time when metal and hardcore weren't afraid to dance. No bull, no filler and no trends. Pure and simple, they play aggressive, explosive, groove oriented American crossover.
With 2 mortgages, a set of twins and one married couple among them, it's hard to believe they could still be angry, but they are. Fool's Crown is on a mission to bring back that time when metal and hardcore weren't afraid to dance. Unlike a lot of bands today, these FOOL'S have no problem wearing their influences on their sleeves.
Jim Swanson, bassist, brings the low end and amidst the thunder, has time for some melody with his backing howl. If you hear a hint of Maiden or Rush, fear not, his nametag says Geddy.
The mighty Matt Miller is a farm boy turned metal drummer. A relative newcomer, Matt is on the mark for blending the precision Of Zach Starkey and the ferociousness of Scott Columbus.
Laura Miller, guitarist, is heavier than most men and yet she only wears a size 8. She also makes a mean lasagna "and she bakes cookies". The resident old timer, Laura has played in too many bands to mention. Suffice to say, the clean playing style Of Lyle
Preslar and the dirty grind Of Doug Holland can be heard through this gals fingers.
Dan Larson, guitar player, may seem to some as the “nu-metal” guy, but there is no doubt that this guy’s roots are metal. Dan's playing brings a new dynamic of heaviness to the Fool's sound.
They say that the third time is a charm and as luck would have it, Keith Lucas, has joined ranks with Fool's Crown. Keith comes from a well rounded background of heavy metal and he brings a full arsenal of pure aggressive energy to the table. Keith's powerful style and range adds major pounds to the bands already thick sound.
There it is, five FOOL'S making one CROWN. No bull, no filler and no trends. Pure and simple, they play the music THEY want to hear…aggressive, explosive, groove oriented American crossover.
